Creative Itch

Creative Itch an impulse to create, the feeling of going about your day to day life when inspiration hits at any moment and giving into that desire. For me this is doodling on till roll at work, sketching people on the tube or in cafes, taking pictures of flowers in the streets, listing to music. I've always felt like I live my life in a creative bubble floating around, either back home or in London. My intentions for the Creative Itch was to inspire people to give into those cravings, take time out of our busy schedules and feed into that urge to create. I wanted to involve as many people I could from all creative backgrounds including those who don’t have an artistic background. The creative itch was created to suggest how one of the most simple art supplies could be used to create beautiful artworks even if that’s only five, ten or thirty minutes to dedicate on a small drawing.

Creating the ten still images, I involved different creatives from all backgrounds at UAl to drive inspiration when making my stills. I took their drawings, makeup looks, music, sustainable materials to create a series to inspire people. I created all my illustrations with coloured pencils as its a simple media to use, I then developed a couple further turning them into t-shirts using heat press.
